We are looking for an Applications Specialist who will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, configuration, and continuous improvement of assigned business applications which can either include BSS or OSS. 

In this role, you will be the go-to person for assigned systems, contributing to system roadmaps, managing configurations, and ensuring effective support and troubleshooting.

• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience supporting applications or similar roles. 
• Experience with system configuration, and vendor collaboration. 
• Experience supporting UAT, deployment, and troubleshooting complex issues. 
• Experience using AI tools for tasks such as troubleshooting, research and documentation.

• Familiarity working with one or more business or operations support systems like ERP, CRM, WFM, Network inventories or other similar systems. 
• Awareness about scripting tools and automation for deployment processes (desirable). 
• Familiarity with SQL databases to query and manipulate data. 
• Knowledge of ITIL practices for incident, problem, and change management. 
• Analytical Thinking – ability to break down complex issues into manageable solutions. 
• Collaboration – effective teamwork with suppliers, developers, and cross-functional teams. 
• Communication Skills – ability to clearly document, present, and explain technical solutions. 

If this describes you, here’s a glimpse of what you will be doing in this position:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for queries and issues related to the assigned systems. 
• Contribute to maintaining the system roadmap, managing open issues and prioritising them with suppliers, developers, and product owners. 
• Participate in the procurement, integration, upgrade and major configuration of the assigned systems. 
• Configure systems in line with upcoming product offerings and business requirements and collaborate with UAT team to ensure changes to the systems are tested and safe for deployment. 
• Create deployment procedures and scripts to ensure reliable release into live environments. 
• Peer review and validate changes implemented by other System Specialists. 
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations and changes. 
• Propose and implement solutions or improvements to the assigned systems. 
• Act as second- and third-line support for escalated system issues, assisting in troubleshooting and resolution. 
• Stay up to date with system updates and industry trends to recommend improvements. 
• Help the line manager to manage budgets associated with the assigned systems. 
• Undertake any other related tasks as directed by superiors.
