• Ability to approach work with common sense and a good attitude, is adaptable to the exigencies of work and can be depended upon to see a job to its end. 
• Possess fault identification and rectification skills. 
• Proficient in outside plant deployment practices, equipment handling, test procedures, and IT systems.
• Be a courteous individual and communicates appropriately with the public, fellow employees, supervisors and customers. 
• Have GO’s success at heart and is sensitive to the impact the job and his role have on 3rd parties’ view of the company. 
• Works well in a team, flexible and determined to deliver at the best possible performance. 
• Be computer literate. 
• Fluent in both written and spoken English. 
• Be in possession of a valid driving license. 

This is how you can hit a few more plus points for this position:​

• Previous experience in fiber and copper cable installation and maintenance.
• Proficient in the use of corporate IT systems and willing to learn new systems. 
• Possess ECDL or equivalent. 
• Knowledge of Fixed Access Network Planning concepts. 
• Proficient in outside plant deployment practices and policies. 
• Being in possession of a C Driving Licence.

If this describes you, here’s a glimpse of what you will be doing in this position:​

• Install, joint, and terminate fiber and copper cables as per company procedures.
• Identify and oversee GO infrastructure in the external plant, managing 3rd party works near GO’s infrastructure.
• Report damages and recommend maintenance/upgrades following company procedures.
• Provide detailed as-installed documentation of completed works.
• Collaborate with peers, clients, and 3rd parties to achieve project objectives.
• Adherence to company policies and procedures (e.g. health & safety, PPE).
• Perform ad hoc assignments and deputize as required by the company.
• Participate in the on-call roster for emergency and maybe required after-hours interventions.
• Contribute to the commercial success of the Group by adopting a customer-focused and sales-oriented approach, regardless of core duties. This includes identifying sales opportunities, promoting GO services where appropriate, and supporting commercial initiatives across the organisation.
• Provide professional support, within the scope of the role, to other entities fully or partially owned by GO plc, in line with the Group’s commitment to collaboration and shared success.
